Driven by a tragic view of life shaped in part by the premature loss of loved ones, Sifting offers a deeply personal rock sound that cannot be confined to any particular genre. Recording of the band’s first album began in 2011 around the same time Bullet for My Valentine chose them to open a concert in Caracas, Venezuela.
The single “All the Hated” also debuted that year and was released on “Rockband Network and Rockband Blitz.” An album of the same name was released in 2013 as the band relocated to Los Angeles and traded memberes.
Sifting has performed at the “Heart of Texas Rockfest” during SXSW, toured with Zapato 3, Venezuela’s most influential rock band, played with Viniloversus, winners of a Latin Grammy in 2013, and toured their native country with the Argentinian band D-MENTE and the Latin American legend Andrés Giménez, leader of “A.N.I.M.A.L.,” which holds two MTV awards.
